Village of Deerfield: Citizen's Police Academy

Description

The Citizen’s Police Academy is a nine-week program designed to enhance communication between the Police Department and the community. Officers who specialize in various law enforcement topics will instruct participants on various topics. The session will be limited to 10 participants. 

The Spring 2025 session will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7-9:30 p.m. from March 12 through May 15 (no class March 26). Registration closes on March 1 or when the session is full.

The Citizen’s Police Academy is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older and lives or works in Deerfield. A background check is completed on all applicants. The Deerfield Police Department reserves the right to deny enrollment for any reason.
